Anthony A. Kent brings to the table more than 15 years of experience in the Electric Cooperative world, where he has spent the majority of his career after his service in the US Marine Corps. Currently, Anthony is the Vice President for Information Technology at Four County EMC. As the Vice President of Information Technology, he oversees the development and implementation of all IT processes that Four County EMC needs to operate and manage its business, as well as the conceptualization and application of unique IT strategic plans that anchors Four County EMC as a leader in the rural electric cooperative market. With a Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Anthony brings a keen awareness of the importance of security and technology as it relates to Electric Cooperatives. On any given day, Mr. Kent provides leadership for the continued development of an innovative, robust, and secure information technology environment throughout the Cooperative enterprise. Between his several positions serving Cooperatives and their membership, Anthony used his Top Secret government clearance to work as a Technology Consultant to the Navy via Hewlett Packard Enterprise. During that time, he achieved a wide range of success overhauling organizational technology, creating a framework for its budget, collaborating with Information Assurance Managers, Engineers, and Technical Leads, developing standard operating procedures, and leading Certification and Accreditation processes. Perhaps his strongest suit, Anthony is a team-oriented professional that thrives in team environments. He brings invaluable experience in communicating and managing relationships with management, staff, all internal stakeholders and most importantly his Cooperative’s membership. His communication acumen spans past verbal communication. He manages to communicate strategic direction and lead quality execution of all IT assignments and operations.
